Marlene L. Bittinger
Age 74, of Bolivar and formerly Mineral City passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Born August 6, 1947 in Swanton, MD to the late Amos Bittinger and Bertha Bowers. She was a Mineral City resident for the past 40 plus years. Marlene was formerly employed by Danner Press with 36 years of service. Preceded in death by one sister, Edith Rounds; three brothers, Cecil, Junior and Forrest Bittinger. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Michael Wallace; an “adopted daughter” and spouse, Deedra and Stephen Shilliday; eight grandchildren, Noah, Sara (Troy), John (Samantha), Michael (Jessica), Brandon (Fiancé, Erin), Amos (Amanda), Sabrina, Ryan (Suzy); eight great grandchildren; her best friend, Dorothy Armstrong; three sisters, Norma Wilt, Elva (Gene) Cupp, Dean Filsinger; one brother, Stanley Bittinger; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at 3:30 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Raymond Stanley officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 pm.
