Mark S. Breniser

Mark S. Breniser, age 71 of Canton, passed away on April 7, 2025 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Cleveland, OH on July 10, 1953, he was the adopted son of Joe and Lucille (Taylor) Breniser.

Mark was a 1971 graduate of Canton South High School. He retired from V & S Schuler Engineering in 2011 due to a work related injury.

He loved spending time with his children during their activities, including his son’s little league baseball team. Mark was an avid Canton South Band Parent.

He, along with his wife, chaired and worked on many band committees, especially selling fruit, Christmas trees, running the football/soccer concession stands for several years, along with chaperoning many bus trips to football games and two trips to Disney.

Mark was raised in the United Methodist Church and became a member of Canton Baptist Temple in 1974, upon marriage.

Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Megan Breniser; grandparents, Vera (Wardell) Breniser and Howard and Elva (Heinbuch) Taylor; in-laws, Glenn Barton and Bobbie (Crisp-Barton-Bates); along with several cousins, aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbie (Barton) Breniser; son, Matthew (Ashley) Breniser; granddaughters, Rylie and Alani Breniser; brother-in-law, Denny (Sharon) Barton; nieces, Rachel Barton and Katelyn (Christian) Berger; great-nephew, Kayden McNamara; cousins, Howard (Jill) Taylor and their family; also cousin Dr. Melanie Taylor. Mark will also be missed by his dogs, Sadie, Holly, and Ivy, the latter two spending most of their time on his lap.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave S., Canton, OH 44707. A brief service of remembrance will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Delaney Young officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with medical and funeral expenses, please contact the funeral home to do so.
