Marjorie C. “Marge” Rue
Age 93, of East Canton, passed away Monday December 5, 2016 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1923 in Robertsville, OH to the late Noble and Carrie (Klopfenstein) Clapper. Marge was a 1941 graduate of Minerva High School and was a life resident of the East Canton area. She retired from Dun and Bradstreet in 1986 after 31 years of service. She was a member of Christ Memorial Church, Robertsville where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the Sunshine Circle Guild and had been active with the choir. She was a member of Robertsville Grange for 70 years and spent her winters in Ellenton, FL for 17 years where she was an avid bowler and sang with the Bay Chorale. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dick Rue in 2005. Marjorie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Ronald Richeson of Minerva; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Kay Flanagan of East Canton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two step-children and spouses, Sandy and Gail Vandegrift, Vicki and Barry Welch; three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Muriel Saur and Martha (Tom) Schoonover. Funeral services will be Friday December 9, 2016 at 11:00am in Christ Memorial Church with Pastor Jonathan Arnold Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Robertsville Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday 6-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with grange services at 5:30pm and one hour before services on Friday at the church (10-11am).
