Marilyn L. Stockdale
Marilyn L. Stockdale, age 77, of North Canton, died Monday August 15, 2005, in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Summerfield, OH. to the late Homer Wilbert and Melissa Estle (Busch) Palmer. She was a North Canton resident for the past two years, prior to which she had resided in Zanesville and was an East Canton area resident most of her life. Member of North Canton Church of Christ where she was active with the clothing ministry and had served as a Sunday school teacher at Market Ave. Church of Christ for many years. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Stockdale in 1986; a twin sister, Madlyn Fletcher; two sisters, Carol and Daisy Palmer. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Randy and Mary Stockdale of Zebulon, NC, Rodney and Sonya Stockdale of North Canton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Glenda Vierheller of North Canton, Joyce and John Mayer of East Canton; 9 grandchildren and 4 great granddaughters; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Delbert and Gladys Palmer of Zanesville, Charles and Betty Palmer of Middlebranch; one sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Robert Swingle of Blue Rock, OH. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Internment in Antrim Presbyterian Cemetery, Friday at 1:30pm. Friends may call Thursday in the funeral home 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Giving Tree at N. Canton Church of Christ, 1301 E. Maple St, North Canton, OH 44720.
