Age 39, of Magnolia died Friday, March 13, 2009 in her home. Born March 11, 1970 in Akron, OH to Richard A. Sr. and Margaret M. (Tichon) Townsend. She was a Magnolia resident for the past 25 years and a 1988 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. Marie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton. Survived by her parents Richard A. Sr. and Margaret M. Townsend of Magnolia; two brothers and sister-in-law, Richard A. Jr. and Carla Townsend of Newark, OH, James Tichon of Magnolia; one nephew, Aaron Townsend of Newark; one niece, Katelyn Townsend of Newark; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1602 Market Avenue S., Canton, OH 44707 with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Food Bank. Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
