Marie J. Diss

Age 102 of Canton passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021 in The Laurels of Massillon. She was born May 21, 1919 in East Sparta, OH to the late George H. and Stella (Deetz) Meininger. Marie was a life resident of the Waco area and an active member of Waco Epworth United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Diss; one son, Larry G. Diss; one sister, Dotie Lorenzoni; Brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Donna Meininger; brother-in-law, Paul McDade. Marie is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred G. and Jean Diss, Richard and Joanne Diss; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Hope McDade. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 28, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Waco Epworth United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Tuesday (12-1pm) at the church (facial coverings are requested). The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice and The Laurels of Massillon for their wonderful care in Marie’s final days. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church.
