Margaret Salapack
Margaret Salapack, age 85, of Sherrodsville, OH, died peacefully in her home, Sunday September 10, 2006. She was born March 12, 1921 in Cambridge, OH to the late John and Mary (Durkee) Chlovechok. Margaret was a resident of Sherrodsville for 40 years and retired from Atwood Lake State Park Lodge in 1995 after 29 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Carrollton, where she was active with the Altar Rosary Society. She was an avid supporter of numerous charitable organizations. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Salapack in 1989; one brother, John; two sisters, Helen and Mary. She is survived by four children, Michael J. (Charlene) Salapack of Sunrise, FL, Jacqueline J. (Ed) Clapper of Canton, Dennis (Colleen) Salapack of Hartville, Lisa Salapack and Shel Chatham of Massillon; 8 grandchildren, Melissa, Michele, Josh, Julie, Mark, Aaron, Zachary and Andrew; four great-grandchildren, Alec, Aden, Cameron and Chloe; five sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday September 13, 2006 at 10:00am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton, with Fr. Gerald Sommer, MSC as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. The procession will form at the church on Wednesday. The Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave is handling arrangements.
