Margaret B. Bennett, age 83, of Canton died Wednesday August 4, 2004 in Rose Lane Health Center following an extended illness. Daughter of the late George U. and Anna E. (Whittington) Bennett. She was an East Sparta resident most of her life and retired from U.S. Ceramic in 1984 after 40 years of service. Member of East Parta United Methodist Church, Delta Chapter #539 Order of Eastern Star, Pike Grange # 1669, Ponoma and State Granges, past president of the Sandy Valley AARP, and the Canton South Womens Club. She was a 1940 graduate of East Sparta High School. Also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Zantene. Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Susan Zantene of Canton South, two granddaughters and their spouses; Theresa and Tadd Muckley, Christy and Dave Williams all of Canton South; three great-grandchildren, Bryan and Merceded Williams, Glennasue Muckley all of Canton South; one sister and brother-in-law, Dauna and Malio Liotti of Canton South. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Ed Barnes officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm with Grange services at 6:45pm.
