Maralyn S. Halsey

Age 80, of East Canton, passed away Thursday December 1, 2022 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1942 in Canton to the late Edmund and Millie (Forte) Smith. Maralyn retired from Nickles Bakery after 11 years of service and was a member of Baxter’s Ridge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed country western music and loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Dena Fether; daughter-in-law, Tami Halsey; great-grandson, Brady; four brothers and one sister. Maralyn is survived by her loving husband, Leland B. Halsey, to whom she was married 63 years; two sons, Bruce (Cheryl) Halsey and Eric Halsey; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be Wednesday December 7, 2022 at 1:00pm in Baxter’s Ridge Cemetery, Dellroy, OH with Pastor Ben Boggess officiating.
