Malio Liotti
Age 90, of Canton died Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Mercy Medical Center. Born October 6, 1920 in East Canton, OH. to the late Emanuel Nick and Genoveffa (Monzione) Liotti. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1938 graduate of East Canton High School. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran serving with the 31st General Hospital U.S. Army Medical Corps stationed in the South Pacific. Mal retired from American Home Products where he was a shipping/receiving clerk. He was a member of North Industry Christian Church, Pike Grange #1669 where he was master for 44 years, Stark Co. Pomona Grange and a 50 year member of National Grange. He had served as director and past president of the Stark County Fair Board. Mal was a 50 year member of WM. McKinley Lodge F&AM, Tadmor Shrine and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Canton South AARP and Canton South Community Men's Club. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dauna J. Liotti in 2005; three sisters, Louise Bowers, Helen Sanford, Mary Kohr; a great nephew, Michael Zantene. Survived by two brothers, Louis Liotti and Frank Liotti both of Canton; one nephew and spouse, Darrell and Susan Zantene of Canton; two great nieces, Theresa Zantene and daughter, Glennasue of Canton, Christy (Dave) Williams and son, Bryan and daughter, Mercedes of Canton. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Ed Barnes officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6–9 pm with Grange services at 5:30 pm."But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not" Matthew 19:14.
