Mae M. "babe" Rohrer, age 84, of East Canton, died Friday February 11, 2005 in St. Joseph Care Center, Louisville. Daughter of the late Harley and Pearl (Miller) Foltz, she was a life resident of East Canton. Former owner/operator with her beloved husband , Joe of Rohrer's Cheese & Eggs. The community knew her as the Cheese Lady at the top of the hill and she delighted in conversing with her customers. Mom spent her years tending the cheese house, caring for her garden and was always in the kitchen. After raising three daughters she devoted her life to Joe and cared for him until his death. The legacy that she leaves is the spirit and stubborness that she passed on to her family, may we all live with the determination that she lived. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rohrer in 1994, two brothers, Arthur and Karl Foltz; one sister, Maude Hinten. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Roger Stith of Canton, Betty and Donald Jaeb of East Canton, Rosemary and William Hohler of Canton; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Harry Foltz of East Canton. A mass of christian burial will be Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Donald Feicht as celebrant. Interment in Union Cemetery, Louisville.
