Madge Dolly
Age 95, of Mineral City, passed away Monday December 30, 2013 in Hennis Care Center, Bolivar. She was born June 24, 1918 in Cumberland, MD to the late Ray and Leah Florence (Judy) Dolly. She was a 1937 graduate of Magnolia High School and received her Bachelor's in Education from Kent State University. Madge was a Mineral City resident since 1942. She retired from Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools as a first grade teacher in 1984 after 43 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mineral City where she served as organist for 63 years. Madge was a 50 year member of M.C. P.T.A. and was awarded the highest honor in PTA by the National Congress of Parents and Teachers. Member of the Twentieth Century Club, Sandy Township Flower and Garden Club and the ALPHA KAPPA chapter of DELTA KAPPA GAMMA. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Dolly and Mildred Raines; one brother, Forrest Dolly; one niece, Scarlet Dolly. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Leah and Donald Barnhart of Bolivar; two nieces, Donna (Rick) Vance and Linda (Rick) Chappell; three nephews, Dr. Ray (Sharon) Dolly, Dan (Sally) Barnhart and Donny Barnhart; four great-nephews, two great-nieces and one great-great-nephew; three special friends, Susie, Sophia and Debbie. Funeral services will be Friday January 3, 2013 at 11:00am in the First United Methodist Church at 4821 Davis St, Mineral City, OH 44656 with Rev. Robert Smith, Rev. Bill Wright and Donny Barnhart officiating. Interment in New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services on Friday at the church (10-11am).
