Mabel E. Harbert, of Canton, died Sunday morning in Manor Care Health
Center following an extended illness. Born September 19, 1913 in New Summerset, OH., to the late Henry and Rachel (Striker) Householder. She was a Canton area resident since 1947 and was formerly employed by The Timken Co. Member of Peace Evangelical Church where she served with the Altar Guild. Former member of the Canton South Womans Club and the AARP. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Harbert
in 1968; one son, Richard Harbert;
one son-in-law, Gordon Froelich; one great grandson, Jesse M. Miller; ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Jean Froelich of Canton, Linda and Dan Wilson of Canton, Shirley and Gordon Barnby of Cleveland; one son and daughter-in-law, Harold M. and Pamela Miller of Canton; 16 granchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Irene Baker of Bergholz, numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Norman Dew officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services at the church (10-11 a.m.)the family would like to send a special Thank You to those who cared for Mabel at Manor Care Health Center and to Heartland Hospice.
