Louis W. Mauter
Age 86, of Canton died Monday, April 19, 2010 in his home following an extended illness. Born March 8, 1924 in Canton to the late William P. and Hazel M. (Whitmer) Mauter. He was a life resident of Canton and a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. Louis retired from Hercules Motors in 1988 after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Canton South Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Thelma (Jarrell) Mauter; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Beverly Mauter of Canton; one daughter, Gayle Adkins of Canton; four grandchildren and spouses, Eric and Lindsay Mauter of Columbus, Jody Mauter of Canton, Jamie and Joshua Clark of Canton, Shawn Adkins of Canton; three great grandchildren, Carson Mauter of Columbus, Corey Snook and Makayla Clark both of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, April 23, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Wayne Cummings officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Program, 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, OH. 44708.
