Lou Ann Mathess
Lou Ann Mathess, age 52, of Massillon died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Altercare of Nobles Pond following a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 31, 1954 in Youngstown, OH and was a 1972 graduate of Austintown-Fitch High School. She was a Canton/ Massillon area resident for the past 30 years. Preceded in death by her father, Merle Edwards; 1st husband Brian McNamara in 1979; 2nd husband, Charles E. Mathess in 2000; one brother, Gary Edwards. Survived by one daughter, Catherine "McNamara" Angione of North Canton; three sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Marci McNamara of Uniontown, OH, Michael McNamara and fiancee Lynn King of East Sparta, OH, Charles Mathess Jr. of Massillon, OH; three granddaughters, Kaylyn Dillon, Emma McNamara, Elizabeth Angione; mother, Mary Catherine Edwards of New Middletown, OH; three sisters and brother-in-law, Janice and Joe Wernyak of Pennsylvania, Sally Cunningham of Petersburg, OH, Merle "Tico" Edwards of New Middletown, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Michael Harmon officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6 - 8 pm.
