Lois I. Weister
Age 86, of Canton died Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born December 12, 1922 in North Apollo, PA. to the late William and Mamie (Snyder) Smith. She was a Canton area resident most of her life and retired from Jackson Local Schools. Lois was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward Weister in 1993; two sons, Edward and Ronald Weister; one brother, Wayne Smith; one sister, Helen Austin. Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William and Diana Weister of Navarre; two grandsons, Matthew and Jason Weister; four step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Clair Smith of Pennsylvania; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Ralph Anderson of California, Dorothy Baker of Pennsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Diana Thompson officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8pm.
