On Saturday November 11, 2017, the spirit of Lois left her earthly body to join that of her husband, Glenn A. Lanzer Sr., who preceded her in death on July 8, 1997. Lois was born August 11, 1932 in Canton to the late Sidney J. and Anna (Bair) Lombardi Sr. She was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School in 1950 and Timken Mercy School of Practical Nursing in 1967. She retired from Massillon Community Hospital in 1989. She was a member of Ohio Eastern Star, Canton Chapter #190 and Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lois is survived by four daughters, Lomin (Gary) Baker, Leslee (Jerry) Valentine, Lori (Bryon) Saunier and Lisa (Sam) Beall; one son, Glenn A. “Butch” (Tammy) Lanzer Jr.; nine grandchildren, Bryan (Holly) Baker, Kara (Scott) Dodson, Lindsay (Jeffrey) Null, Danielle (James) Owen, Sam II (Amy) Beall, Angelica Morrow, Glenn III “Trey”, Tanner and Taylor (Hannah) Lanzer; 19 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, Keith (Melissa) Valentine and Matthew Saunier; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry and Sandy Lanzer, Joyce Lombardi; one aunt, Mary Ronald; two special cousins, Jason Lombardi and Dona Young; many nieces and nephews; she regretfully leaves her loving Cairn Terrier, LuLu. Preceded in death by one brother, Sidney J. Lombardi Jr.; two step-grandchildren, William A. and Dennis A. Valentine; an infant great-granddaughter, Lylah June Null. According to her wishes, she has been cremated and will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Melscheimer Cemetery. There will be no other services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society at 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641. Lois asks that her family and friends remember her as she was, be happy and celebrate that she is reunited with Glenn, the love of her life, and her loneliness is over.
