Lisa A. Rueschman

Lisa A. Rueschman, age 53, of Canton South, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, after a courageous fight with an extended illness. She was born on March 31, 1971, to Lawrence and Beverly (Barbato) Herta in Detroit, Michigan. Lisa was a graduate of Jackson High School in 1989 and further attended Akron University. Lisa devoted time at Diebold and dedicated many years to Canton City and Canton Local Schools as a paraprofessional and a bus aide.

Lisa was a loving wife, mother, aunt, daughter, dog mom, and friend who loved devoting her time watching her two daughters, Raine and Savanna, play sports. She was an avid fan of Michigan Wolverines Football and the Detroit Lions. She enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her family on summer vacations.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gregg, whom she married on December 12, 1997; daughters, Raine and Savanna; sister, Sarah (Bryan); brother, Mark (Jodi); and her three nieces. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and many dear friends. 

A visitation for Lisa will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10 am-12 pm at North Industry Christian Church, 425 45th St SW, Canton, OH 44706. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Ed Barnes will be held immediately following at noon. Lisa will be laid to rest at Greentown Cemetery.
