Lillian E. Parks, age 93, of East Canton died Friday August 29, 2008 in Oakhill Manor Care Center following a brief illness. Born July 19, 1915 in Canton to the late Herman E. and Edna F. (Frantz) Steigerwald and was a life resident of East Canton. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and loved sewing. Preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Parks in 1967; one brother, John Steigerwald. Survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Robert Harter of Louisville, Geraldine and Dick Bissell of Las Vegas, NV, Barb and Dick Henderson, Sue and Don Ulrich of Homerville, OH; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Verna Parks of Mountview, CA; two step children and spouses, Kay and Dave Evans of Minerva, Fred and Barb Parks of Tooele, Utah; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Steigerwald of Canton South; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday Sept. 4, 2008 at 11:00 am in St. Benedict Catholic Church, Canton, with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton.
