Lewis W. French

Age 91, of Canton passed away Sunday January 10, 2021 in his home. He was born November 24, 1929 in New Castle, IN to the late Claude and Opal (Douglas) French. Lewis was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was a member of Moreland Christian Church where he had served as a deacon. Lewis retired from Teamsters Local #92 where he had worked for Consolidated Freight and Slesnick Recycling. He is preceded in death by one great-grandson, Devin French; four sisters and one brother. Lewis is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Christy) to whom he was married 69 years; three children, Lewis W. French Jr. (Loretta Pirolozzi), Susan (Steve) Kaw and Tracy (Richard) Lewis; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; two sisters and one brother. Family and friends will be received Wednesday January 13, 2021 from 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A private family service will be conducted with burial in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required at all services.
