Leroy M. Knight, age 84, of canton died Tuesday evening in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Son of the late Earl and Carrie (McClure) Knight. He was a life resident of the Canton area and retired owner/operator of Knight's Electric. He was also a farmer for many years, Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose #2471, Navarre, American Legion, Perry Grange, Massillon AARP, Farm Bureau, Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie # 2370 and a charter member of the North Industry Sportsmans Club. A WWII Army veteran where he was awrded a Purple Heart. Also preceded in death by his wife, Josephine (Cairns) in 1990, an infant son, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survived by, two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Ann Krantz of Massillon, Margie and Bill Maxon of Massillon, one son and daughter-in-law; Wayne and Teresa Knight of Canton, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Larry Fete of Canton. Services will be Monday May 17, 2004 in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Phil Raynes officiating. Interment in Eden Cemetery.
