Leona J. Tender
Age 91, of Canton, passed away Wednesday April 6, 2016. She was born October 27, 1924 in Pittsburg, PA to the late Arthur and Goldie (Hutton) Davis. Leona was a member of Martindale Christian Fellowship Church and was a women of great faith. She had opened her home and cared for more than 130 people throughout the years. She is also preceded in death by one son, Thomas A. Tender Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Luetta J. Tender; four grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas A. Tender Jr. (Angie Piper), Sonya (Henry) Atkins, Susan (Seth) Dean, Angela (Justin) Dominick; 11 great-grandchildren, Colton, Dakota, Brittany, Amber, Isaac, Isaiah, Natasha, Peyton, Hannah, Riley and Avery; one great-great-grandson, Clayton. Funeral services will be Monday April 11, 2016 at 10:00am in the Martindale Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Steve Manko officiating. Burial will be at 2:30pm Monday in West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home.
