Leon Dedmon
Leon Dedmon, age 93, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday June 10, 2008 in Great Trail Care Center. He was born March 7, 1915 in Tennessee, to the late Charles and Rhoda (Hughes) Dedmon. Leon retired from Portec in 1971 after 25 years of service and had resided in Florida and Alabama, prior to returning to the Carrollton area. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Johnny Lee Dedmon; 14 brothers and sisters. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ferd Jones of Canton; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday June 13, 2008 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Terry Bailey officiating. Friends may call one hour before services (1-2pm).
