Leo A. "Geetz" Ehret
Age 79 of North Lawrence, passed away Friday July 23, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. He was born January 12, 1931 in Waco, OH to the late Francis "Frank" and Cecelia (Aman) Ehret. Leo was a North Lawrence resident for the past 13 years, prior to which he was a life resident of the Canton area. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Brewster. He was the former owner/operator of M & E Body Shop for 40 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters #1449, CFU Lodge #514, Canton South AARP and the NRA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Christopher Ehret in 2008; one sister, Ann LaFore; one brother, Bernard Ehret. He is survived by his wife, Millie A. (Kostenjak) to whom he was married 54 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Stephanie Ehret of Germantown, MD; three daughters and sons-in-law, LeeAnn and Joseph Cush of N. Lawrence, Karre and Virgil Wendling of N. Lawrence, Lorie and Pete Bitzel Jr. of Naples, FL; 15 grandchildren, Andy and Kyle Ehret, Joe, Michael and Ashlee Cush, Sara and Samantha Ehret, Michelle Getz, Michael Harhager, Ronnie Bitzel, Stefanie Johnson, Kristen Goodson, Julia, Michael and Petey Bitzel; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Celise Ehret of St. Frances, WI, Teresa Schwing of Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday July 27, 2010 at 10:00am in St. Therese Catholic Church at 345 S. Wabash St, Brewster, OH 44613, where the procession will form, with Fr. Robert Kaylor as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home.
