Lee R. Eagon
age 74, of Canton passed away Monday March 5, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born April 8, 1937 in Guernsey County, OH to the late Harmon and Mabel (Law) Eagon. Lee was a Canton area resident most of his life, retiring from Danner Press in 1999 after 44 years of service. He was a member of Holy Family Parish Catholic Church, Navarre (formerly St. Clement Catholic Church). Lee was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5582, LEAF and served in the Ohio Army National Guard 1416th Air Guard for 18 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Eagon. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. (Schandel) to whom he was married 52 years; three children and spouses, David and Patricia Eagon, Barb and Mike Demos, James and Rhonda Eagon; three grandchildren, Brandy, Jason and Michael; three great-granddaughters, Laci, Mikayla and Hailey; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Art Bay. A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday March 9, 2012 at 10:00am in the Holy Family Parish Catholic Church, where the procession will form, with Fr. Mike Seifert as celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Thursday 4-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Parish Catholic Church at 216 E. Wooster St., Navarre, OH 44662.
