Lawrence G. Poole
Age 81, of East Canton died Friday, November 15, 2013 in Bethany Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born September 7, 1932 in Flemington, WV. to the late Jerry and Nina (Wine) Poole. He was an East Canton resident most of his life and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Lawrence retired from the Timken Company in 1981 with 32 years of service. He was a member of North Canton Church of Christ. He enjoyed farming, raising beef cattle and going to auctions. Preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Poole. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, JoAnn (McGee) Poole; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Charlotte Poole, Mark and Cindy Poole and Martin Poole all of East Canton; six grandchildren, Jerimiah, Melissa, April, Hannah, Harrison and Hayes; five great grandchildren, Jaylyn, Kennedy, Marshall, Camilla and Hank; two sisters, Nada Shockey of Canton, Barbara Cole of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Ted Blackwood and Keith Kull officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 pm.
