Lawrence T. Page
Age 91, of East Canton died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born July 19, 1924 in Canton, OH. to the late Francis E. and Lola Faye (Tipton) Page. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1942 graduate of Canton Township High School. Lawrence was a U.S. Army WWII veteran serving as a medic with the 148th Engineer Combat Battalion. He served in five major battles, two of which being the Battle of the Bulge and D- Day invasion. He was awarded a Bronze Star. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and had formerly been employed with Canton Flower Shop. Lawrence was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, DAV and Battle of the Bulge Assoc. Preceded in death by one sister, Ramona Crisp. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary L. (Poland) Page; two daughters and son-in-law, Joy and Brad Bowman of Florida, Ann Lowder of Canton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Dean Page of Canton, Dale and Pauline Page of Bolivar; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and James Haney of Uniontown. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Rev. L. Scott Bacon officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
