Lawrence N. Goddard
Age 48, of Minerva, passed away Tuesday August 9, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born November 21, 1962 in Canton and was a 1981 graduate of Minerva High School. Lawrence was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was formerly employed by X-Cell Mold and Machine. He was a member of Robertsville Wesleyan Methodist Church, American Legion Post #44 and the VFW Post #3747. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelson and Rose Irwin. He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. (Doney) to whom he was married 18 years; one son, Brian Gribble of York, SC; one granddaughter, Embyr Gribble; mother, Judith Andersen-Mayle of Canton; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana and Jon Metz of Canton, Mary and Jim Rhodes of Louisville, Christine and Mark Vance of Canton, Sheila Eick of Louisville; father-in-law, Richard Doney of Minerva; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be Friday August 12, 2011 at 3:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Tom Haight officiating. Friends may call two hours before services on Friday (1-3pm).
