Lawrence E. Flory
Age 93, of Canton died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Born July 16, 1920 in Lisbon, Ohio to the late Walter and Ethel (Little) Flory. He was a Canton resident since 1947 and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. Lawrence retired from Ford Motor Company in 1986 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the D.A.V. Chapter #50 Alliance, Ohio and U.A.W Local #542. Preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Robert Flory; one daughter, Zelma Jean Flory; four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby K. (Morrow) Flory; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Carol Flory of Salem, Oregon, Walter and Cindy Flory of Canton; one daughter, Nancy Humphrey of Malvern; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug 10, 2013 at 12:00 pm in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 735 East Hill N.E., North Canton, OH. 44720, with Bishop Scott Hunter officiating. Interment in Bergholz Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday two hours prior to the service at the church from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the D.A.V. Chapter#50, 9540 McCallum Ave. N.E., Alliance, OH. 44601.
