Laura M. Haines
Laura M. Haines, age 101, of Canton, passed away Wednesday November 14, 2007 in the Hospitality House. She was born December 3, 1905 in Waynesburg, OH, to the late Calvin and Clara E. (Starkey) Bergert. Laura was a 1924 graduate of Waynesburg High School and a life resident of the Waynesburg and Canton area. She was formerly employed by The Timken Company and had served as an Insurance Agent with Lincoln National Life and was an Avon Representative. Laura was a member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Autumn Leaves. She was a member of the Jolly Sixties and the Eastern Star Chapter #539 for 50 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Haines in 1994; ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, R. Thomas Haines of Canal Fulton, Richard and Paula Haines of Montgomery, TX; five grandchildren, David L. and Todd R. Haines both of Houston, TX, Thomas A. Haines of Canal Fulton, Lori Clemens of Battle Creek, MI, John Haines of Canal Fulton; three great grandchildren, Tommy, Rebecca and Madeline Haines; one great-great granddaughter, Laura Dawn Haines; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday November 17, 2007 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 4-7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Reedurban Presbyterian Church at 1145 Perry Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44710.
