Larry E. Poletsky

Age 77, of East Canton, passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016 in Aultman Compassionate Care. He was born August 6, 1939 in Canton to the late John E. and Florence (Anderson) Poletsky. Larry retired from Republic Technologies after 25 years of service and was employed by Mercy Medical Center and United Security Services. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Secular Franciscans, a server for Santa Clara Monastery and spent several years serving the elderly in the area nursing homes. He served 10 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Marty Poletsky. Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Luther) to whom he was marred 53 years; three daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Kevin Dean, Theresa Poletsky and Patricia Moser; three grandchildren, Aaliyah Dean, Aalyssa Dean and Timothy Miner Jr.; three brothers, John, Mike and James (Carole) Poletsky; three sisters, Agnes Nelson, Colesta Saylor and Ann (William) Rudinsky; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday November 28, 2016 at 11:00am in St. Louis Catholic Church with Fr. Larry Frient as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 9:30-10:30am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Franciscan Prayer services at 10:15am.
