Larry D. Krebs
Age 79, of North Industry died Sunday, June 2, 2013 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born July 29, 1933 in Canton, OH. to the late Robert and Vera (Guilliouma) Krebs. He was a 1951 graduate of Canton South High School and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was the retired owner/operator of A&K TV having been in business for 50 years. Larry served as Canton Township Trustee for 24 years. He served as a board member of Stark County Regional Planning, executive board member for the Democratic Party and was a member of the Jefferson Jackson Club. Larry was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he served on church council and had been head usher. He was a former volunteer fireman and EMT for Canton Township Fire Department. He had served as one of the first board members for the Canton South YMCA. He was instrumental in forming the North Industry Little League program and had served as a coach. Larry was also a member of Pike Grange and Stanley S. Bowman Post#440 American Legion. Preceded in death by one brother, Paul Krebs. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye A. (Collett) Krebs; three children and spouses, Michael Krebs of North Industry, Anita and Deny Tripp of East Sparta, Shondora and John McGrew of Canton; five grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Krebs, Thea (Matt) McCoury, Krissy (Jonathan) Greene, Dena (Danny) Vega, Nicole Barr; seven great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Juliette, Vivian, Lucy, Emma, Fiona and Addison. The family would like to thank the staff at Green Meadows and Aultman Hospital for their compassionate care give to Larry. Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 am in Peace Lutheran Church, 3828 Cleveland Ave S.W., Canton, OH. 44707, with Rev. L. Scott Bacon officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday from 10-11 am. Memorial donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
