L. Gerson Laubender Jr.
Age 86, passed away Saturday July 17, 2010 in the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, OH. He was born December 15, 1923 in Canton to the late L. Gerson and Evelyn (Arnold) Laubender Sr. He was a 1942 graduate of East Canton High School and was a WWII Army veteran having served in the 736th Tank Battalion. Gerson was a resident of Chardon, OH for 11 years, prior to which he had resided in the Mapleton and East Canton area. He retired as a salesman from Kempthorn Motors in 1989 after 30 years of service. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Greg Morgan of Canton, Linda and Paul Ritchey of The Villages, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Darlene Laubender of Tiffin, OH; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday July 22, 2010 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
