Kristina Diane Smith
Age 21, of Cuyahoga Falls and formerly of Canton died Sunday, April 18, 2010 unexpectedly in her home. Born November 29, 1988 in Canton to Stacey L. and Jeane D. (McCoury) Smith. She was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for the past three years, prior to which she resided in Canton. Kristina was a 2007 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas and currently attending Kent State University where she was majoring in Audiology and sign language. She was employed with Greenleaf in Akron and formerly with Trillium in Canton as a sign language interpreter. Kristina was a member of the Deaf Outreach Church. She loved purses, paintball, her puppy, Austin, and her 1973 Ford Mustang. Preceded in death by her grandfather, Carson McCoury and an uncle, Steve McCoury. Survived by her parents, Stacey and Jeane Smith of Canton; one brother, Stephen Smith of Canton; two half sisters, Judy Payne and Stephanie Carter both of North Carolina; maternal grandmother, Eva Catherine McCoury of Canton; paternal grandparents, Paul and Rose Smith of Canton; several aunts, uncles and cousins; her boy friend, Jeff Himes of Doylestown. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 10:00 am in Parkside Church of Green, 4520 South Arlington Rd., Uniontown, OH. 44685, with her uncles, Rev. Terry Smith and Rev. Darwin Smith officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
