Kenneth A. Humphrey
Age 42, of Louisville, OH. died Saturday, August 29, 2009 in Canterbury Villa of Alliance following an extended illness. Born October 24, 1966 in Canton, OH. to Hugh B. and Elizabeth (Henzel) Humphrey. He was a Louisville resident most of his life having also resided in Akron for 11 years. Ken was a 1985 graduate of Louisville High School, he attained an electronics degree from ITT and achieved an associate's degree from Stark State College. He was formerly employed by the City of Akron as an Engineer Technician for nine years. He was a member of Center Church of the Brethren. Ken loved woodworking, gardening and the outdoors. He was a loving and giving person who always thought of others first. Ken found the strength to deal with all his challenges through his faith in Jesus Christ and was an inspiration to all who knew him. Preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Humphrey in 1999. Survived by his father, Hugh Humphrey of Louisville; three brothers, James Humphrey of Louisville, Ron Humphrey and partner, Linda Shilling of Snohomish, WA., Chuck Humphrey of Louisville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and James Latza of Lakewood, OH., Sandy Humphrey and partner, Tim Uncapher of Louisville, Darlene and Craig Laubender of Tiffin, OH; four nieces and 11 nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at 11:00 am in Center Church of the Brethren, 2801 Ravenna Ave. N.E., Louisville, OH. 44641, with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. Inurnment in Center Church Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 – 8 pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday (10-11am) at the church.
