Kenneth M. Bracken
Kenneth M. Bracken, age 82, of Canton died Thursday, October 11, 2007 in his home following a brief illness. Born August 11, 1925 in Canton, OH. to the late Paul E. and Goldie (Daniels) Bracken. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1943 graduate of Canton Township High School. Kenneth was a WWII U.S. Army veteran where he was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, European Theater Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars and others. Retired from LTV Steel in 1988 after 32 years of service. Member for 50 plus years of the First Baptist Church. Also, member of D.A.V. Chapter #6. Preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Orland Dale and Arthur Bracken; two sisters, Twila Reed and Betty Neumiller. Survived by his wife, Doris M. (Taylor) Bracken with whom he celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on October 9, 2007; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Michael and Helen Bracken of Canton; one grandson and spouse, Kenneth Matthew and Denise Bracken of Fairlawn; four brothers and sister-in-law, Harold Bracken, Harry and Elsie Bracken, James Bracken all of Canton, Robert and Joyce Bracken of N. Canton; three sisters, Esther Shields of E. Sparta, Margaret Dare of Morrow, OH, Audrey and Donald Kirkpatrick of Carrollton; a special nephew, George "Jay" Jones. Funeral services will be Monday, October 15, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Kevin Slyh officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday from 10-11am. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Program, 2821 Woodlawn N.W., Canton, OH. 44708.
