Kay Dawn Rupert, aged 70, of Canton South, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Joan (Mulheim) Rupert, and son-in-law, Mark Shoemaker. Kay is survived by her children, Tammy Shoemaker and Sean Rupert, grandson Cody Dieckman and his fiancé Destiny Householder, sisters Jennifer (Tim) Rowles, Paula (Tim) Tolin, and Janet (Gene) DiMaria, many nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Glenn Sells.
A 1972 graduate of Glenwood High School, Kay was a retired long-distance truck driver. She loved her Pug rescues, gardening, vintage cars, and was the family genealogist. She never met a stranger and was well-loved by her many friends and family.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Box 249, Columbia Falls, ME 04623), a cause Kay felt strongly about which honors American veterans.
