Kathryn R. Stewart Kappler
Age 77, of East Canton and formerly of Canton South passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 from injuries she sustained in an auto accident. She was born June 13, 1937 in Canton and was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School. Kathryn retired from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce. She was an active member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in East Canton where she served as president of the United Methodist Women. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis B. Kappler in 2011; grandmother, Mary Link; mother, Agnes Dunbar; granddaughters, Sarah and Tonya Unkefer. Kathryn is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Adrienne Stewart of Canton; two daughters, Janice Stewart of Carrollton and Shari Stewart of Barberton; two grandchildren, Katlin and Shane Unkefer; one step-daughter, Sue (Ron) Carey; step-son, Bob (Gayle) Stewart; six step-grandchildren, Amanda Carey, Melissa Tomasik, Lisa Stewart, Christopher Stewart, Justin and Jason Badagliacca. Mom enjoyed her many friends and always had a shoulder to lean on; she will be missed by her loving family and dear friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 11:00am in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 108 E. Walnut St, East Canton, OH 44730 with Pastor Tim Monteith officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Laurens Cemetery, Bolivar. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services on Tuesday at the church (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt.
