Kathryn M. Byers
Kathryn M. Byers, age 89, of Louisville, passed away Thursday July 3, 2008 in St. Joseph Care Center following an extended illness. She was born September 12, 1918 in Canton, OH, to the late Edward L. and Florence (Elkins) Jacobs. Kathryn was a graduate of McKinley High School and Kent State University. She was a Louisville resident for the past 23 years, was a Canton area resident most of her life and had formerly resided in Hollywood, FL. Kathryn retired as a teacher from Canton City Schools in 1985 after 27 years of service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Byers in 1990; one brother and one sister. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Denny Myers of Louisville; one son, Raymond L. Byers Jr. of Plymouth, MI; three grandchildren, Kevin (Marla) Myers of Raleigh, NC, Kellie (Dack) Warner of Minerva, Kacie (Sonny) Mayle of Louisville; six great grandchildren, Dakota and Jakob Warner, Meredith and Daniel Myers, Jack and Max Mayle; a beloved nephew, Phillip F. Whalen of Woodside, CA. Funeral services will be Saturday July 5, 2008 at 11:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Clark Kandel officiating.
