Age 83, of Canton died Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. Born June 3, 1926 in Fairmont, WV. to the late Oscar and Anna Opal (Snider) Horton. She was a Canton resident since 1948 and had formerly attended Foursquare Chapel. Kathleen was formerly employed by the Canton Repository. Preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie P. Updike in 1993; one son, Lonnie P. Updike Jr.; one grandson, Lonnie P. Schweitzer; two brothers, Clifford and Robert Horton; 4 sisters, Theada Fox, Betty Rine, Norma Alexander and Linda Cruz. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Earlene and Paul Rogers of Roanoke, VA., Arlene and Robert Diehl of Canton; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Howard Sebrell officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Monday one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am.
