Kathleen “Kate” Aquino, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, following a brief illness. She was born on March 1, 1930, in Middlebranch, Ohio, to the late Henry Weisel and Georgia M. (Werstler) Weisel.
Kate was married to the late Natalino “Ned” Aquino for 74 years. She was the mother of eight beautiful children who absolutely adored her; grandmother to seventeen grandchildren; great-grandmother to thirty-four; and great-great-grandmother to two.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 15th, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church located at 3430 St. Michael Dr. NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. with Father Don King as celebrant. Kate will be laid to rest at Mapleton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3430 St. Michael Dr. NW, Canton, Ohio 44718.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sanders Funeral Home at 218 East Nassau Street, East Canton, OH 44730.
