Kathleen "Kathi" Back,
Kathleen "Kathi" Back, age 53, of Navarre died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 in Aultman Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Canton, OH, March 25 1952, and was a Canton and Navarre resident most of her life, having also resided in Pennsylvania for ten years. She was employed as a special needs teacher with the Perry Local Schools for the past 15 years and was the recipient of the Stark County Teacher of the Year in 2003. Kathi's generosity and loving heart will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her father, Jack McCarthy. Survived by her husband of 30 years, John E. Back; one daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Kirk Askren of Navarre; one son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Renee Back of North Lawrence; mother, Jean V. McCarthy; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty and Dave Knotts of Canton, Miki and Mick Clerici of Columbia, SC; seven nieces and nephews; three great nephews; numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 10 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Jerry L. Snyder officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kathi Back Special Needs Fund at Perry Local Schools.
