Karen L. Valentine
Age 61, of East Sparta died Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born July 3, 1953 in Dover, OH. to Don and Lucille (Irwin) Murphy. She was a 1971 graduate of Canton South High School and attended Malone College. She was a Canton South resident most of her life. Preceded in death by her father, Don Murphy. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Patrick Valentine; one daughter, Miranda Valentine of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and April Valentine of Memphis, TN; four grandchildren, Tatum, Kaleb, Nevelyn and Annalia Valentine of Memphis, TN; one great granddaughter, Mia Solima of Memphis, TN; one sister, Darla of Goshen, IN; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Jill Murphy of Cincinnati, Bo Murphy of Mineral City, Tim and Tammy Murphy of Delroy; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Dina Rooney and staff for their excellent and compassionate care given to Karen during her 4 ½ year battle with breast cancer. There will be no public services.
