June A. Downard
age 90 of Minerva, passed away Friday September 18, 2009 in Altercare of Noble Ponds. She was born June 9, 1919 in Sandy Township to the late John and Martha (Haidet) Duerr. June retired from Canton Local Schools where she had worked in the cafeteria at Prairie College Elementary School. She was a member of North Industry Christian Church and had attended Harsh Bible Church in Carrollton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Downard in 1998; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mehl Young of Bolivar; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mahlon and Sharon Downard of East Sparta, Keith and Andrea Downard of Minerva; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 22, 2009 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Steve Gilreath officiating. Internment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 6-8pm. Memorial donations in June's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
