Josephine A. Meyer
Age 76, of Canton died Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Hennis Care Center following an extended illness. Born January 12, 1936 in Canton to the late Philip and Gertrude (Hahn) Angelo. She was a life resident of the Canton and East Sparta area and a 1954 graduate of Canton South High School. Josephine was the owner/operator of the former JoAnn's Beauty Salon and was formerly employed by Daily Medical Supply. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Canton. Josephine was an avid Archer and bowler and was a member of the 600 Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an avid fan and supporter of Canton South High School and their athletic teams. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in all their various activities. Preceded in death by one sister, Angie Mates; four brothers, Pat, Tom, Bennie and Phil Angelo. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward Meyer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and David Stahleker of Canton, Julie and Tim Ness of Canton; seven grandchildren and spouses, Nick and Dana Stahleker, Ed and Chrisy Stahleker, Sabina and Michael Walter, Tim Ness II and Mandy Bowman, Joe Ness, Austin Ness, Jaret Ness; three great grandsons, Kolton Sparks, Timmy Ness, Konrad Stahleker; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Feb 13, 2012 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara officiating. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
