Josephine " Jodie" E. Fosnaught
Age 72, of Minerva died Thursday, September 24, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Born November 18, 1936 in Canton to the late Ralph and Isabelle (Moock) Hopple. She was a Minerva area resident for the past 20 years and prior to which a resident of Paris, OH. Jodie was a graduate of Canton Central Catholic High School. She was a loving mother of six children, a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church and a member of St. Gabriel's Women's Club. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Fosnaught in 1991; one son, Earl Fosnaught Jr. Survived by five children and spouses, Joseph Fosnaught of Minerva, Julie and Tim Shocksnider of Coventry, R.I., Thomas Fosnaught of Akron, Mary Fosnaught and Hans Slootweg of Raleigh, N.C., Ann Fosnaught of Canton; two grandchildren, Mimi Shocksnider and Maximilian Fosnaught. A memorial mass will be October 17, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in St. James Catholic Church, 400 W. Lisbon St., Waynesburg, OH, 44688, with Fr. Joseph Zamary as celebrant. A reception will follow the mass in the parish hall. Memorial donations may be made to Missionaries of Charity, 335 East 145th Street, Bronx, N.Y. 10451.
