Joseph M. Mardyla

Age 89, of Canton died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in his home unexpectedly. Born September 28, 1928 in Canton, Ohio to the late Peter and Stella (Dinko) Mardyla. He was a life resident of Canton and U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran. Joseph retired from the Canton Water Department in 1985 with 33 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #44. Joseph loved ceramic painting and the family would like to thank the ladies that came weekly to paint with him. Preceded in death by his wife, Joan Mardyla in 1980; three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Chuck Hess; one son, Joseph D. Mardyla; three grandchildren, Katie (Chad) Schirack, Michelle (Nick) Foster, Stephanie Mardyla (Cory Cunningham); four great grandchildren, Hannah, Jaxson, Mason and Nina; his beloved cat, Molly. Funeral services will be Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave With Fr Edward L. Beneleit officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 7 – 9 pm.
