Joseph R. "Bob" Leggett
Joseph R. "Bob" Leggett, age 65 of East Canton, died Sunday September 17, 2006 in Laurels of Massillon following a brief illness. He was born April 15, 1941 in Malvern, OH, to the late Joe W. and Goldie (Ferguson) Leggett. He was a 1961 graduate of Malvern High School and a life resident of the Malvern and East Canton area. Bob retired from PCC Airfoils in 2003 after 42 years of service and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the VFW post #1410, Minerva, and the American Legion post #375, Malvern. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harrison and Myrtle Leggett; one sister, Sandra Wells. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 ½ years, Loretta (Lewis) Leggett; one son, Michael Leggett of East Canton; one daughter, Michelle Lewers of Louisville; three grandchildren which he truly loved and cherished, Brandon, Justin and Jessica Lewers; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane and Lori Leggett of Canton, Wesley and Sherry Leggett of Newark, OH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol and Cecil Curfmann, Katie Curfmann all of East Rochester; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday September 21, 2006 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Clifford Hughes officiating. Interment in Liberty Cemetery.
