John G. Munger
Age 84, of Navarre died Friday, November 12, 2010 in his home following an extended illness. Born October 2, 1926 in Canton to the late Steve and Barbara (Novesil) Munger. He was a Navarre resident for the past seven years prior to which he was a Canton area resident most of his life. John was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He retired from Georgia-Pacific in 1985 after 43 years of service. Preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty M. (Flanigan) Munger; one daughter and son-in-law, Lennie and Robert Flagg of Malvern; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Cynthia Munger of Canton; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Munger of Louisville; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, November 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Dr. Larry Hinkle and Pastor Frank Leghart officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Program.
