Age 93, of East Sparta, OH. died Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born May 23, 1918 in Howenstine, OH. to the late Percy and Emma (Csornai) Miller. He was a life resident of East Sparta and a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He was retired from Hercules Engines. John was a member of Howenstine Christian Church, Canton South Booster Club, Oldtimers Fast Pitch Softball Assoc. and American Legion Stanley Bowman Post#440. Preceded in death by one brother, Robert Miller; one sister, Mary Latta; one grandson, Michael Unsworth. Survived by his wife of 70 years, Elsie (Clauser) Miller; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Dennis Hawvermale of Massillon; two sons and daughters-in-law, John D. and Wanda Miller of East Sparta, Robert L. and Suzanne Miller of East Sparta; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Chris Davis officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Howenstine Christian Church.
